The Group

We are proud to be a Joint Scout & Guide Group (one of very few nationally!) , we are home to 8 thriving units providing a wide range of fun activities for over 130 children aged from 5 to 17 years.

Meetings are held in our Scout & Guide Hut which is conveniently located in the heart of the village.

It’s not the most modern of buildings and it leaks in places but we love it and are working hard to raise funds to carry out improvements.

Donations are always welcome – please email us here If you can offer help, skills or funds.

Our Leaders

Our dedicated teams of leaders, unit helpers and young leaders are all volunteers, some of whom were themselves Scouts and Guides in Knebworth years ago!

Leaders complete Scouting and Guiding training programmes which include first aid and safeguarding and all adult volunteers are DBS checked. The safety of our young members is our first priority when organising activities and meetings.

Our leader teams are always keen to welcome new volunteers so if you enjoy working with young people and have a few hours to spare each week, please get in touch with our Group  Scout Leader or Group Guide Leader.

Previous Scouting and Guiding experience is not a requirement.  Click here to find out more about our current volunteering opportunities.

The leader teams are led by Group Scout Leader Steve Palacio and Group Guide Leader Linda Brookes.
